In a prominent position, right on the blue flag award winning sandy beach at Camber Sands, set in front of the dunes are seven charming whitewashed 1930’s built cottages. They are south facing with all day sunshine, enjoy breathtaking sea views from their open terraces and sun rooms and have their very own cordoned off private area of sandy beach.

The property, Stowaway at 3 Marine Cottages is one of these properties on the southern coastline. Sleeping up to 6 guests, the cottage is bright, airy and has recently been refurbished throughout to a high standard with modern designer furnishings. The cottage is well-equipped providing an ideal base and a comfortable, stunning retreat.

Comments From Stowaway’s Previous Guests

Return visit was just as fab as the first. We find stowaway a perfect family holiday in the UK. We have stayed June and September and both times had great British weather.
Already organising next years holiday dates to book again. Great for a family with two children under 3!

Richardson, Rickmansworth

Thank you for a wonderful holiday. We were so impressed with how well supplied the cottage was – from kitchen utensils to extra bedding and towes to the range of toys and games for the children (the Angry Birds game was a hit with my boys)! For any families with children this place is ideal! Opening out directly onto the sand my boys had the time of their lives! The thing I always hated about beach trips with children was finding a parking spot, lugging 3 bags of necessities half a mile from the car, deliberating on whether to face a sandy picnic or pay extortionate prices for beach food and finally braving the public toilets! With this amazing cottage we had none of that as we had everything we needed at hand and enjoyed leisurely lunches on the patio whilst watching other beach-goers crunching sandy sandwiches! Waking up to that sea view every morning was something else! We can’t wait to come back! But my boys will be asking for more of that fudge cake you left in the welcome hamper. Special touches like that are what made our experience so fantastic! Thank you again!

Amy, Desborough

This is a tremendous find.
Camber is beautiful and the property is literally on the sand with it’s own section of private beach it shares with the neighbouring properties. It would be hard to imagine a better spot.
The house is immaculate and well laid out with plenty of space. Nice touches such as fluffy towels and quality bedding too.
Good pubs serving food within walking distance and try Beryl’s Cafe for breakfast.
Also Rye is just down the road and makes for a great day out.
Will definitely be back in the Summer!

Jo, Derbyshire

‘Very sad to leave Stowaway today, had a lovely weekend and the cottage was fabulous. We will be back.’

Helen, Maidstone

The location was great, nice layout of property plus lots of toys and a Wii for my son to play with.

Christos, Brighton

Cosy and homely with fantastic beach views. Well kept holiday home had everything we needed for us and our toddler. Very well thought out, and perfect size for a family. We loved this place. Perfect for a long weekend but we could have stayed longer. Couldn’t find fault in this accommodation and what a location. Our little boy just loved playing on the beach and watching the beach tractor in the mornings. Thanks for having us.

Sandra, London

We had a fabulous time in this cottage right on the beach. It’s comfortable and well-equipped: modern-looking decor but with lots of quirky character. We especially loved the sun room – perfect place to sit with a book and a glass of wine – bliss! Our visit in February luckily coincided with some very nice weather and we enjoyed some glorious walks along the beach with the kids and dog. We’ll definitely be returning.

Mel, Chelsfield

Stowaway was exactly what we were looking for and we just loved the location, right on the beach. The views from the bedroom window are so beautiful. Seeing someone breaking in a horse on the sands on Boxing Day with the waves crashing in behind was magical. Yes, the sand does get into the house, but who cares?

Sophie, Oxford

Last week we stayed at this lovely beach house. The accommodation is very light and spacious, and has enough rooms for our family with three kids. Everything you need is available, including a well equipped kitchen and a lot of (beach)toys for kids. We enjoyed the great views, at any time of day, and nice walks on the beach. The owners are very responsive and friendly. We hope to come back soon! Thanks for everything! Bye,

Astrid, The Netherlands

We’ve just returned home after having spent a week at Stowaway. The cottage and its location are superb and the owners have worked hard to provide a family-friendly retreat. The kids were delighted with the range of jigsaws, games and books, but most of all by the beach and the thoughtful beach toys that were available at the cottage. The property is well-appointed and we had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. I’d recommend a visit to Rye, particularly if you like mooching around quaint shops. Thank you for a fab and very relaxing break, we would love to return to your lovely cottage.
